Well done Darren! SVR wins silver at Scottish Veterans Awards
What a night at the 2024 Scottish Veterans Awards at Prestonfield House in Edinburgh! So many inspirational people, organisations and stories to marvel at, and Scottish Veterans Residences (SVR) were proud to be there to celebrate the achievements and impact of Veterans across the country.
Congratulations to our very own Darren Morgan, who collected Silver in the Health and Wellbeing Category, fittingly sponsored by last year's winners Be-inn Unity. Former Royal Marines PTI Darren, who is SVR's Join in Live Well Officer, was nominated for his outstanding work providing activities for our residents in Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow. Walking, skiing, cycling, golf, fishing, residential trips, gym work: you name it, Darren does it!
SVR would like to congratulate Veterans Garden Dumfries for winning in our category, all the other finalists, and a special shout out to Calum MacLeod, co-founder of Who Dares Cares, who swept the board with a number of awards - including the Veterans Awards Champion prize.
