Leader of the Year accolade for SVR Chief Executive
Thank you to the organisers, sponsors and supporters of the Scottish Veterans Awards for putting on another fantastic event at Prestonfield House, Edinburgh. Congratulations to all the finalists and category winners, which this year included SVR Chief Executive Martin Nadin - named Leader of the Year.
Martin (Brig Ret’d) served 39 years in the British Army, and has been at the helm of SVR since 2018, steering the charity through the pandemic and beyond, and displaying inspirational leadership to the staff team and residents we support.
Sadly, another prior commitment meant he could not be at the ceremony, so Alison Morrison - Deputy Manager at our Edinburgh residence Whitefoord House - accepted the award on his behalf from the Scottish Veterans Commissioner Susie Hamilton.
Martin said: “I was extremely pleased to receive the Leader of the Year Award. I’m sure it’s more a reflection of the truly great team we have at SVR, who make my role so rewarding and enjoyable.”
SVR was also a finalist in the categories of Employer of the Year and Inspiration of the Year (Kevin McLeod, Veteran and Housing Assistant at Bellrock Close).
