In memoriam: Keith McKenzie (2 December 1958 to 11 November 2021)

Keith served in the Scots Guards and the Parachute regiment before a second fulfilling career in the Central Scotland Fire and Rescue Service. A long term tenant of Scottish Veterans Residences and practising Buddhist, Keith dedicated his time to helping his fellow Veterans: organising retreats at the Samye Ling Buddhist Centre; taking mindfulness classes for Veterans at Whitefoord House; and running the Veterans Café at the Stafford Centre in Edinburgh.
Keith is very fondly remembered by the Residents, Tenants and Staff of Scottish Veterans Residences as a man of integrity, humour and selflessness. His was a life of duty and service and his passing is a loss to the Veterans’ Community that he strove to support.
